This camp is for 6-9 year old boys & girls. Camps will be broken down for age groups.  (The camp at Sorinex is age 6-15)

Your little leaders will receive their standard issue of equipment that is part of their course registration fee on day 01 (backpack, med-kit, compass, knot tying book, seatbelt cutter, fire starter, water bottle, headlamp, safety whistle).  We will cover the conduct expected of them and from the cadre.  We will start with a Prayer followed by the pledge of allegiance, as we will do everyday.

The schedule will vary from camp to camp but all will have the same objectives and context.

Everything we teach will be demonstrated and assisted, building them up to be confident in themselves to apply these techniques when needed.   Training/classes will focus on everything they have been issued and include:

  • Basic medical care, how to set splints, how to apply a tourniquet, how to treat a snakebite, how to assess the patient, how to call 911.

  • Introduction to land navigation, the different types, how to use a compass and how to always know where you are.

  • A rope corral set up with the goal to have them master 4 different knots.

  • A day of archery camp at Extreme Outfitters in Jacksonville.  They are going to learn the history of the bow, the different types of archery, how to safely shoot a bow working up to a land navigation hike looking for a 3d target to hunt.

  • Breaking out of restraints, and how to escape from the trunk of a car.

  • How to change a tire, how to use a seatbelt cutter and safely exit a vehicle.

  • Running medical scenarios that are going to force them to work together in the "notional" absence of an adult.

  • A Tour of the Sheriff Emergency Response Team

  • A tour of the US Coast Guard Station, which will include a ride on the boat.

  • Learn how to throw a cast net

  • A visit to Canines for Service to learn about volunteering and become a professional dog walker.

  • A tour of the 911 call center

  • And much much more.

Core Values of Life SKILLZ USA

God - Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

John 15:13 man hath no greater love than he lay down his life for his friends.

Faith is missing in so many parts of everyday life. To correct the course and set up the next generation of children to lead and secure our way of life we need to show them a path to Christ.

Family - The family must be a team, a unit that knows each other's strengths and weaknesses. To understand how to lead and how to follow. We need to honor our parents, be respectful, have the courage to ask questions, the humility to receive corrections, and the desire to be the difference.

Country - We live in the greatest nation in the world. I can say this as I have spent 25 years of my life traveling the globe. We must reestablish our Esprit De Corps for our country. We must understand the significance of our flag. To understand that the foundation needed to fix America starts right now with our children.

Expectation & Rules and conduct policy for our Little Leaders

Manners - Be respectful to the instructions and other Camp members. Young men will always hold the doors for young ladies. The oldest in the group will be the last to enter and take the position of group leader. We will demonstrate throughout the week how to lead and how to follow.

Equipment - packs with all issued items must be present with them at the start of every day.

Education - this camp is designed to start making resilient young men and ladies. To create assets from what has previously been looked at as a liability. We will work to teach you many things this week. With the hopes to give the young leaders an improved sense of confidence and situational awareness.

Times have changed:

This part is something I never thought I would ever have to mention. We are respectful of everyone’s beliefs, even if we do not agree. That is the beauty of our country, freedom of choice. This camp is a faith based pro-America and pro-traditional family values. This camp recognizes there are only two genders, biological boys and biological girls. Pronouns will not be recognized, birth names and or nicknames will be how the young leaders will be referred to.

We are a small business that reserves the right to refuse services/business if it violates our core policies. If these values do not align with your beliefs we understand and suggest that the Life SKILLZ camp may not be the camp for you.

Refund Policy

The deposit for all camps is $400.00 per child (included in the ticket price). Due to the pre camp coordination required for each child and limited slots, the deposit is non-refundable.  It is only transferable for a case-by-case basis and only if there is a seat in one of the remaining camps. It will not transfer to the following year. If the course is paid in full at sign up the $400 deposit would not be refunded in the event of a cancelation.
